We have all have heard of Google, their employees are able to do whatever they want to in their office space to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. They are encouraged to take multiple breaks throughout the day. Google has made many amenities available to its employee to make life easier on its employees. There is a laundry facility, gym, sleeping pods, a garden with fresh vegetables and fruits and their cafeteria caterers to just about every employee’s taste buds.
Employees are encouraged to bring their pets with them to work and even take a break for a massage and maybe some volleyball. Google has provided all these amenities to keep their employees happy, relaxed and yes more productive. They are encouraged to brain storm together for new ideas and ways to improve the company and what it can do for its users.
Do you dread getting up at five am to get ready for work, grab your lunch and rush out of the door to make it to work on time only to run into crazy drivers who are on the same quest as you are? Once at work are you comfortable and happy to do your job or are you just doing what you can to look like your working? Do you look forward to lunch just so you can get away for a little while and relax?
This, my friends is where remote software comes into play. I myself have worked from home for the past six years. Thanks to remote software like Bomgar, I am able to set up my office anywhere there is an Internet connection. In addition, it has been proven that a happy and relaxed employee can ultimately be more productive.
Working from home has given me the opportunity to take frequent breaks. If I choose to work from the living room one day I can sit on the sofa with the TV on in my pajamas on and no one would know the difference. As long as I am getting my work done why should it matter where I get it done or what I look like doing it. I am much more relaxed not having someone over my shoulder telling me I have to meet a deadline by yesterday.
Not only is remote software giving employers the chance to create a happier environment for its employees by allowing them to work from home, but also saves the employers bottom line. There are tons of online software that can be used to create a virtual environment to keep all your employees connected and informed. This technology allows your employees to create their own comfortable work environment.
Now I’m not saying that working from home is for everyone or that some won’t abuse the privilege. But I believe if employers give their employees a little leeway and freedom to get their work done and create a peaceful, creative work environment that suits them, It may just help to boost their creativity creating a win win situation for both the employer and employee.
Google is a multi million dollar company and if we follow some of their standards, it will make it just that more possible for a company to have happy employees and happy employees are the key to a successful business.
