If you’re like me you are glued to either your phone or laptop throughout the day. However I have just purchased my first tablet and let me say I love love love it. It is a Samsung
Galaxy 10 inch table. The reason why I purchased it is because I read a lot and purchasing expensive books in both soft back and hardback just to have them sit around and collect dust seemed pointless to me.
This is where my beautiful new tablet comes in; you simply purchase books from the online bookstore. It’s just like the library except it is online and you don’t have to use the card catalog, you simply type in the name of a book or browse a genre. Online books are much less of a hassle and you don’t even have to worry about making sure you bring a book back to the library or where you will store a purchased book.
If you really like to read in bed, with the use of a tablet you are able to read inside or outside. The screen stays lit the entire time so there is no need for extra lighting. If you like reading in the dark, no problem the backlight has you covered. If poolside is your thing, this tablet is amazing for that as well. The backlit screen makes it easy to read where ever you want.
Gone are the days of losing your place in a book because you have forgotten to insert your bookmarker or fold down the page. This tablet knows exactly what page you were on and opens and closes to that page every time. Changing pages is as easy as a swipe of your finger. In addition if you have multiple devices and use a Kindle app, you can sync your books with other devices as well.
Ok so how many of you have those big old heavy recipe books hanging around your kitchen? I know I was guilty of this very thing. Now I simply search around online for my recipes and prop up my tablet while I bake or cook away. It makes it so easy and convenient. In addition sometimes there are videos on You Tube of a person making the recipe and you can make it with them. Maybe the food channel is your kind of thing, you guessed it you can use this tablet to go to your favorite chef’s website and make your favorite dish with them.
Well we have covered books and cooking, but we have one more neat thing I love to do on my tablet. There is an app store full of free games you can download. Fun for hours, just ask my nieces. When they visit they are glued to it and it makes a great little companion for those long car rides. Whether you like solitaire, candy crush or you are a Face Book farmer, this tablet allows you to play your games on the go as well.
Hopefully I have inspired you to look into adding a tablet into your life. It doesn’t have to be the exact one I have, there are many to choose from. So do some research and make sure you know exactly what you want to use the tablet for. One thing is for sure; I am pleased as punch with mine.
