On the other hand, if you’re starting a website for a small business, and don’t see yourself bringing thirty million visitors per day through, then most web hosting services provide this same service at a much lower cost.
2. Find a quality copywriter
You’ll be providing content on a regular basis. If you aren’t familiar with how to write content for an audience, hire a professional. These men and women can create content that will go viral and be shared across social media. In addition, you can count on this content to be useful and helpful to your readers, bringing them back to your site and doing a bit of the marketing for you through the use of social reputation.
3. Establish a brand for yourself early on
Most people create a website, but their presence across all online platforms is scattered and fragmented. Learning how to properly brand and market yourself from the beginning will be a godsend. Use the same logo across all platforms, the same photo across all platforms. This way, when you are asked to speak somewhere, or guest post somewhere, people will see the logo and think to themselves, “Oh, it’s that business!” When you become recognizable as a brand, you’re making progress.

You can throw together a website for yourself, but if you don’t know what you are doing, chances are it doesn’t look great. Take the time to learn how to properly design a website, or find a web designer that knows what they are doing. People do judge books by their covers, and if you have a site that looks like it was pieced together in five minutes, people can tell. However, if you take the time to build it properly, you’ll gain a lot more visitors.
